Synopsis

It has been over a thousand years since the age of wonders. A time where the divine ones blessed humanity with spiritual, structural and technological marvels. But in the blink of an eye, it all vanished, and all that was left were remnants of an ancient, advanced civilization. As humankind forges ahead, culture becomes knowledge, knowledge becomes history and history becomes mythology. Until Iyanu. A teenage orphan girl with no recollection of her past who suddenly discovers that she has hidden powers that rival the divine ones themselves. As Iyanu tries to come to terms with her new abilities, the people of Yorubaland become aware of an ancient evil that has reawakened. And all that’s left between them and destruction are the memories locked away in the mind of Iyanu.

This sounds amazing. When will it be available in 2019?

    • Roye Okupe says:

Hey, Abigail! Great question. We’re still working out exact details on the release date. If you sign up for our newsletter, you’ll be one of the first to know 🙂

  • Elizabeth Freeman says:

This looks so cool! I loved Malika and this looks right up my alley.

  • Ashley says:

My daughter really loves chapter 1 of the Iyanu. She was hooked and couldn’t wait to come to the website after reading to be continued… She likes how she is coming into her powers. The story keeps her very interested page to page.
Please, please, please make more stories 🙂

    • Roye Okupe says:

Wow! That’s so awesome! Don’t worry we have a lot more stories on our APP: subscribe.youneekstudios.com 😉

  • caleboforipoku says:

Great work Roye i have was wondered when we where going to have African super heroes. Big fan of your work

  • Dave Van Domelen says:

Picked up the HalloweenFest issue today, interesting. One problem, though…when I came to the main YouNeek page, I found no mention of Iyanu. Like, okay, maybe it’s still a few months away from being ready, but if you’re going to drive traffic to the site with Iyanu, the site should mention her.

    • James says:

We are in the same place. Our daughter just asked for the full book for Christmas… turns out there isn’t one???

      • Roye Okupe says:

Hey James! First of all, thank you so much for grabbing a copy of Iyanu. And we’re so excited your daughter loves it. We are so sorry we don’t have the rest of the story as of yet. We’re working hard to bring you the full graphic novel. We’re a small indie studio that self finances everything, so sometimes, our books get delayed due to funding. But rest assured, this book will be out sometime next year hopefully. Please make sure you sign up for our email list and follow us on social media (@YouNeekStudios of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) to be the first to know when the graphic novel launches and to get behind the scenes updates as we progress.

    • Roye Okupe says:

Hi Dave! I definitely understand your frustration. And we’re working to add more Iyanu content to the website. Please see my explanation above as to why we didn’t have things set up as we should have. We’re working hard to bring you more Iyanu asap. Please make sure you sign up for our email list and follow us on social media (@YouNeekStudios of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) to be the first to know when the graphic novel launches and to get behind the scenes updates as we progress.
