The YouNeek YouNiverse

The YouNeek YouNiverse is a connected world of African-inspired superhero and fantasy stories. A world where said stories are told concurrently in multiple time periods (5,000 BC, the Fifteenth Century, and the year 2025) through the lens of compelling characters and series like Malika™: The Warrior Queen (a historical fantasy epic featuring a strong female lead), E.X.O.™: The Legend of Wale Williams (an Afrofuturist superhero sci-fi tale set in Lagos, Nigeria), Iyanu™: Child of Wonder (a story inspired by Yoruba history and mythology featuring a teenage girl with divine power), and more! These stories eventually all come together in The Oloris™: Heroes Will Unite Volume 1—a cumulative event that brings all our heroes together

for a noble cause.

The Vision

“What we are trying to do over the next few years is create a world as compelling and immersive as Star Wars. A massive universe of sci-fi, fantasy, and superhero content spread across different timelines. However, our approach is to do this from an African perspective, which, with time, branches into the larger world (and eventually even space). Is this ambitious? Yes. Is it impossible? Not at all. In fact, we’ve already successfully sown the seeds to achieve such a lofty goal. To date, our self-published books have won multiple awards, we’ve garnered over 700,000 views on YouTube for our animated content, raised over $150,000 on Kickstarter and amassed over 100,000 followers on our social media channels combined. And now, with all this amazing momentum, we will finally be able to achieve our ultimate goal: create, for a global audience, content that empowers African creatives and storytelling.”
