The DREDs (Dominant Robotic Exoskeletal Drones) are autonomous, combat ready robots designed by PryTek. They were developed using research left behind by Dr. Williams after he fled the organization. The DREDs don’t speak but instead communicate with one another via radio signals. They are extremely efficient killing machines and are usually controlled as a unit from a single programming interface.
Since their initial creation, the DREDs have had two design iterations. The prototype Alpha DREDs and the much improved DRED 1’s. The DRED 1’s were designed to improve upon the A.I of the initial Alpha DREDs. As a result, the DRED 1’s function at an even higher efficiency rate, displaying significantly better results in hand to hand combat, target precision and military tactics.
At various points in their existence, the DREDs have either been controlled by James Peters (CEO of PryTek) or Oniku. Regardless of the person pulling the string, their use has always brought about the same results. Destruction.
